『戦争や自然災害など暗い出来事ばかりが続く状況からの”夜明け”という思いを込めた。現代社会では、今まで当たり前のように夜明けを知らせていた太陽さえも、檻の中に閉じ込められ歪んでいるかのようである。丸い太陽を求めて我々が自発的に動き回り、その夜明けを発見した時、きっと自分の中の檻は開放され始めるだろう』

フランスの詩人、アルチュール・ランボーは、『永遠」という詩で、以下のように詠っている。

太陽も海も常にそこにある。
だが、それを再発見することが大切なのだ。

この作品は、2023年に大阪の関電不動産開発が主催するコンペ「ART & CITY presents シエリアタワー中之島」でグランプリを獲得した作品。
大阪中之島の中心で川沿いに建設する４６階建の高層マンションをアートを中心にブランディングするもので、建物内外に設置するアートをコンペで公募したもの。
最終的に３名のアーティストが選ばれ、私の他に、画家、陶芸家の２名が選ばれた。
この作品は、建物のグランドエントランスに設置した高さ5m、幅3mの巨大な金属製の立体である。

When we spontaneously move around in search of the round sun and discover that dawn, surely the cage within ourselves will begin to break free.』

This is the winning work from the "ART & CITY presents CIELIA Tower Nakanoshima" competition, hosted by Kanden Realty & Development Co.,Ltd. in Osaka in 2023.

The project involved branding a 46-story high-rise condominium building, constructed along the river in the heart of Nakanoshima, Osaka, with art as the central focus. The competition solicited submissions for artwork to be installed both inside and outside the building. Ultimately, three artists were selected: myself, a painter, and a ceramic artist.

This particular piece is a massive metal sculpture, 5 meters high and 3 meters wide, installed in the building's grand entrance.
